Testimonial Jason

Hello everyone, my name is Jason Jiang.  I’m currently attending Cornell University and am majoring in human biology and biochemistry. I took Ms.Jane’s Algebra II and trigonometry , Precalculus and calculus classes when I was a student at Cupertino High School. As an international student, I was unfamiliar with the teaching structures of American math courses. I was also unaccustomed to the methods of approaching mathematical questions using the American logic. Ms. Jane was my math savior. With her patience and dedication, she walked me through many problems with outstanding clarity that helped me develop a systematic, effective, and problem-solving mindset. The solid mathematical foundation that Ms. Jane helped me build in high school turned out to be extremely important at a competitive university. Personally, many academic difficulties that I have encountered required a decent amount of math to solve. Sometimes, I found that what was important was not necessarily the numbers themselves, but the logic behind planning things out. Ms. Jane was a perfect mentor in terms of both numbers and their logical essence. Besides being a great teacher, Ms. Jane was also loving as a person. She sees her students as responsibilities, as family. She provides a loving environment in which her students can learn, and she opens the gate of not only learning math, but also loving math. The love for academics was the most important thing that Ms. Jane passed to me through her classes.
