An incredibly dedicated and understanding teacher, Ms. Jane helped me develop solid fundamentals in math that helped me all throughout high school and into college. I used to be anxious about not doing well in math classes, but after having her as a tutor for Algebra II/Trig, Precalculus, and Calculus, I was never worried about math again. In terms of her teaching, Ms. Jane was always super patient even when I didn't fully understand something and answered every question I had with a thorough explanation. She instilled in me a logical mindset to problem-solving that has been helpful to me even in college. The way she paced her teaching during the school year was also very helpful as we always stayed ahead of the school curriculum, meaning that I was never confused in my high school math classes.

Aside from math, I have also had the privilege of working with Ms. Jane in STEM opportunities, such as the American Computer Science League club that she hosts. She is very invested in her students' success in these environments as well, as besides being an experienced mentor herself, she connects her students in these clubs with other experienced mentors in order to give them extra help should they need it. In addition, she provides her students with more opportunities in STEM throughout the year in order to help them engage in the field and develop their interests. Her excellence as a mentor is seen not only through her teaching but through the support and opportunities that she provides to her students.

Beyond academics, it is clear above all that Ms. Jane cares deeply about her students. She encourages questions during class and believes in all of her students regardless of their background, creating a supportive and nurturing classroom environment in order to ensure her students' success. Thanks to her teaching, I have become confident in my math and problem-solving abilities, and I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her.
