Absence Policy: Because hands-on collaboration is central to this course, students are expected to attend every session. For occasional, unavoidable absences, class recordings will be provided.

Personal Statement: A short statement from the student explaining why they want to study physics and what excites them about science.

Ph.D. in Computer Science | Former Associate Professor | 30+ Years of Teaching Experience
Dr. Shao is a highly respected Physics educator with over three decades of teaching experience, including a distinguished career as an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin and has taught advanced courses in Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Electronics, and more.
Dr. Shao has specialized in high-level Physics instruction, including AP Physics 1 & 2, AP Physics C, f=ma preparation, and college-level Physics. His students consistently earn top scores and gain admission to elite STEM programs. Known for his clarity, rigor, and passion, Dr. Shao is dedicated to helping students master complex concepts and develop a true love for Physics.
